We invite you to read the general conditions that regulate rentals - consulting it will make it easier to use our vehicles once on the road.
  • REQUIREMENTS FOR RENTING

    1) Requirements for driving the vehicle The driving of the vehicle subject to leasing is permitted only in the presence of the following requirements, as well as by the regulations in force at the time of rental,


    Driver's age


    The driver's age must be between 25 years and 65 years. Exceptions are possible by paying the "minor guide" supplement.


    Required documents


    Driving license type B or higher, legible and with European characters, issued for at least 12 months and currently valid. The driving license must be issued by a member state of the European Union or alternatively must be accompanied by an International Driving License. Photocopies or any replacement sheets of the driving license will not be accepted. Valid identity documents are needed as well as the possession of one or more bank cards.


    Driving the vehicle


    Only the holder of the rental contract may drive. The customer has an obligation to communicate any names of persons that will be able to drive the vehicle to the exit branch during the opening of the rental contract. For each additional authorized driver, there is a supplement, and if the age of the second guide is less than 25 years or more than 70 years, a further supplement will be required; this is variable depending on the location, type of vehicle, and duration of the rental. The Lessor reserves the right to deny, at its sole discretion, the rental of a vehicle and/or authorization of any person to drive.

  • SECURITY DEPOSIT

    When picking up the vehicle, you will be asked to leave a security deposit for your rental. The amount of the deposit will be held on your card upon release of the appropriate authorization of the issuing institution, and will not be charged. The deposit is required in order to cover any additional costs of the rental.


    The amount of the security deposit is €500.00 over the rental amount agreed for cars of category A / B / C, €800.00 for cars of category D / E and €1,000.00 for all other cars.


    In the case of prepaid hire through brokers on the Internet, the amount of the deposit varies depending on the broker with which the reservation was made and the amount is generally indicated in the broker's voucher or website. The Lessor reserves the right to refuse the rental in case of an insufficient security deposit.


    The release of the previously pre-authorized plafond will not take place at the same time as the car is released but in the next 48 hours, and the normal plafond restoration will take place with times that vary according to the issuing credit institution. The guarantee deposit may not be returned in a short time if the vehicle returns with internal or external damage, alterations, mechanical anomalies, or anything else that requires a more thorough check of the vehicle by specialized personnel.


    For the security deposit, you must have a bank credit card with raised numbers, however for a limited number of cars and only for groups A / B / C you can also rent by debit/prepaid card (postpay, etc.) or cash with prior authorization from the branch.

  • ONLINE BOOKING

    Please read this document carefully before completing your booking as it provides important information, including what you need to bring when picking up your vehicle.


    Booking Terms and Conditions


    The reservation allows you to book a vehicle, and extra options, for pick-up on a pre-established date, time, and location and for the agreed rental period. The Customer is required to comply with our Minimum Rental Requirements. The Customer must accept and sign the Rental Agreement. Reservations can be made by telephone with one of our operators in the Agency or online at www.leccerent.net. The tariff conditions in effect at the time of booking will be guaranteed when the Customer signs the Letter of Rental, with which the contract is concluded; until such time no information or content assumes contractual importance. The reservation does not constitute a rental contract.


    The customer who makes use of our online payroll reservation service is required to pay the amount evidenced by the site as a security deposit. This amount is to be considered confirmation of the booking.


    Failure to collect the vehicle on the agreed date and time, inlcuding 59 minutes of waiting, means that the Lessor is entitled to consider the booking cancelled and to issue an invoice to the Customer for the sums previously collected as a security deposit.


    The Customer has the right to cancel the reservation within 2 days of the date of collection. Within this deadline you must send an email to info@leccerent.it to request cancellation of the reservation and the return of the deposit previously paid. After this deadline, having kept the car available to the customer, nothing will be reimbursed and we will issue an invoice to the customer for the amount of the security deposit. In case of cancellation of the reservation, the restitution of the sums will take place within 10 working days.


    The Customer will have to pay a penalty for non-cancellation if the reservation is cancelled due to a lack of the Minimum Rental Requirements by the Customer. You will be charged a penalty even if the customer does not cancel the booking and does not show up at the rental desk for collection. This penalty is called a penalty of non-cancellation. The penalty of non-cancellation corresponds to the entire amount previously paid.


    The customer can change the booking at any time before the day set for picking up the vehicle by calling the agency or sending an email. It is also possible to change the reservation on the day of collection by checking the availability with our Booking Center. Following the modification of the reservation, the Customer will receive a confirmation email which will indicate the new booking details and the additional costs. All change requests will be subject to availability and may result in a price change, as the modified booking will be subject to the prices in effect on the date of the change. However, if as a result of our unavailability to change the reservation the customer decides to cancel the reservation, they will still be charged the cancellation penalty.


    The cards accepted for rental are American Express, Diners, Visa, and MasterCard (in both cases prepaid cards are not included). Prepaid credit cards can be used for online payment but will not be accepted upon collection of the vehicle. In the absence of availability of a bank credit card with raised numbers, the customer must be previously authorized by the branch and the rate may be different from that indicated on the site.


    Brokers reservations.


    The Customer who decides to make use of intermediaries (Travel Agencies, Tour Operators, Brokers, etc.) and provides for the payment of the rental in advance is in any case jointly obliged towards the Lessor to pay any amount contractually due in the event of total or partial non-collection of the security deposit issued by the intermediary itself. The Lessor's responsibility, in cases of reservations made through intermediaries, arises exclusively with the signature of the Rental Contract, with the Lessor having no obligation assumed by the intermediaries at the time of booking, and any claim or request relating to the reservation must be advanced exclusively by intermediaries.


    The Customer is required to present themself at the office with the voucher issued by the broker confirming the booking confirmation. Failure to collect the vehicle on the agreed date and time, after 59 minutes of waiting, means that the Lessor may consider the reservation cancelled.

  • WITHDRAWAL AND RETURNS

    Vehicle collection At the beginning of the hiring, the Customer must issue a commitment regarding the date and, if authorized at the branch to which the vehicle will return, any change in the commitment must be communicated at the collection branch. Any changes that occur during the duration of the rental may not be accepted by the branch that may claim the return of the vehicle no later than the return date provided in the Rental Contract. The Customer acknowledges that the rental of the vehicle and its keys will end at the date and time on the receipt and that the failure to return these within 24 hours compared to the agreed rental term will result in a charge of €250,00 for each day of delay. The Lessor, in case of failure to return the vehicle on the agreed date and after 24 hours without contacting the Customer, reserves the right to lodge a complaint of embezzlement with the Judicial Authority.


    A rental day is considered to be 24 hours with a 30-minute tolerance, after which time a further rental day will be charged.


    Before the vehicle is picked up, the Customer must check that the condition of the vehicle corresponds exactly to the vehicle card delivered by the Lessor, paying particular attention to: exterior bodywork, glass and mirrors, interiors, and rims. In the event of a discrepancy between the real status of the vehicle and what is reported on the vehicle card, the Customer will be required to contact the operating personnel to check the status of the vehicle before the start of the rental. Any discrepancies reported after the withdrawal, even supported by photos or testimonials, will have no effect and only the vehicle card signed at the beginning of the charter will be recognised.


    Return of the vehicle


    The Customer should return the vehicle in an equal condition, except for normal wear in relation to the kilometers traveled, in relation to the tires, the documents, and the entire equipment supplied. The vehicle will be returned to the Lessor's office during the normal opening hours, verifying and signing, at the time of delivery of the vehicle, the "check in" box indicating the status of the vehicle. Failure to check in that box will result in the waiver of the right to challenge subsequent disputes with respect to charges for damages incurred by the Lessor.


    For each case of return of the vehicle during the office's closing times, the Customer is held responsible for any damage found on the vehicle at the time of the reopening of the rental office, and is equally responsible for third party interference with the vehicle or keys in the box.


    For vehicles returned during evening hours in conditions of excessive external dirt or in weather conditions for which it will not be possible to proceed with the normal checks, they will be carried out the following day or after washing the vehicle.

  • EXTRA ACCESSORIES

    Extra accessories and services


    Age Supplement


    Drivers between the ages of 20 and 25 and after the age of 76 can only access cars belonging to groups A - B - C - D, upon payment of a supplement of €12.00 per day.


    Additional driver


    For each additional driver to the person in charge of the rental contract, there will be a supplement of €7.00 per day.


    Driver insurance P.A.I.


    In the event of a claim, the insurance policy does not cover damage to the driver. However, the Lessor provides the customer, at the cost of €3.00 per day, a special disclaimer for damages incurred, with the maximum limit of €25,000.00 in the case of death or permanent disability, and €5,000.00 for medical expenses. An event caused by violent and external factors, which causes objectively contestable bodily injuries, is considered an injury. The insurance applies to any person authorized on the rental contract, who is injured when driving the vehicle identified in the policy and is only valid if the driver is authorized in accordance with the provisions in force. ("Personal insurance for accidents / P.A.I.)


    Withdrawal overtime


    The withdrawal of the car after the closing time of the office is allowed before 22:00 if previously agreed, at the cost of €25.00. If the withdrawal of the car will be made after this time, the cost of extra charge will be € 70,00.


    -Satellite navigator: €10.00 / day up to a maximum of 5 days.


    -Loads for children (15/36 Kg from 8 to 12 years): €25.00 / rental


    -Children's chair (9/18 kg from 1 to 3 years): €35.00 / rental


    -Children's chair (0/13 Kg from 0 to 12 months): €35.00 / rental


    Extra Services


    Fines and tolls


    The Customer must compensate the Lessor for any high contravention during the rental period and for any unpaid highway toll. The Customer is also required to pay €60.00 for reimbursement of expenses related to each unpaid fine or toll. The aforementioned administrative costs will also be due in the case in which the driver has received fines while acting legally and this having been recognized by a judicial decision.


    Vehicle cleaning


    Normally, the vehicle is delivered to the customer clean and the cost of normal vehicle cleaning is included in the rental rate. For vehicles returned in conditions of dirt in excess of normal use, particularly with obvious stains of any kind on the seats and / or upholstery or with the presence of sand or other material deposited inside that exceeds the normal dirt on the mats, the cost of the restoration will be charged to the Customer for a minimum amount of €20.00 up to a maximum of €100.00.


    Refueling service


    The cars are delivered on hire with a full tank of fuel. If the vehicle does not come with the same amount of fuel, the missing liters will be charged in addition to a surcharge for non-refueling equal to €25.00. All accessories can be obtained from our offices and can be requested at the same time as booking or directly at the counter upon availability. All amounts shown are VAT included.

  • REDUCTION AND ELIMINATION OF RESPONSIBILITY

    The Customer is liable for damages caused to the vehicle during the rental period within the limits indicated in the rental contract. In the event of theft, fire, collision damage or vandalism, a refundable penalty will be charged to the Customer. The amount of the compensation penalty for theft / fire / vandalism (STP) and collision damage (SKO), as well as the possible reduction or elimination of compensation liability, are indicated at the bottom of the Rental Contract. The limitation of compensation liability (STP-SKO), non-insurance coverage, lapses in case of willful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the Customer or Driver (also third parties) and in this case the Customer is required to pay the entire value of the vehicle. In all cases of theft or total or partial fire, the Customer is obliged to make a regular report to the authorities, presenting a copy within 24 hours after the event occurs at the exit branch, and actively collaborate with the Lessor for the management of the resulting judicial procedure.


    Elimination of damage, theft, and fire


    The Customer may request the elimination of compensation penalties in case of damages found on the rented vehicle, in the event of theft or total or partial fire, upon payment of a supplement to be requested at the time of signing the rental contract. The reduction or elimination of responsibility for theft does not prevent the Customer from adopting the ordinary diligence of custody of the vehicle. In the event of a claim caused by the customer, even in case of purchase of the elimination of responsibilities, a compensation fee of €200.00 + VAT will be charged for the administrative management of the claim.


    The elimination of responsibilities does not include damages resulting from natural disasters, damage to the upholstery and the passenger compartment, damage to the underside of the vehicle, damage caused by vegetation, or the loss of keys and the license plate of the vehicle. The customer loses all the benefits of the disclaimer in case of failure to return the keys or failure to deliver a report of theft to the competent police authorities; in these cases the customer is obliged to pay the full value of the vehicle according to the yellow Eurotax price list. In any case of theft or fire in the vehicle, the customer must still pay the sum of €90.00 + VAT.
